Céline Pagis completed a MSc degree from the engineering school of Centrale Marseille in 2015. In 2018, she received her PhD in Material Sciences and Catalysis at IRCELYON and IFP Energies Nouvelles in Lyon under the academic guidance of Dr David Farrusseng and Dr Alain Tuel. Her PhD thesis topic was on original syntheses of hollow Y zeolite to study the impact of this new morphology on the transport and the catalytic activity for model reactions. The results and originality of her pioneer work have earned her awards : the fellowship L’Oreal-UNESCO For Women in Science in 2018, the “Denise Barthomeuf” PhD award 2019 from the Groupe Francais des Zéolithes (GFZ) and the Yves Chauvin PhD award 2019 from IFPEN institution.
In 2018, she joined IFPEN as research engineer in the field of heterogeneous catalysis. Her research activities are divided in two parts. One focused on the photoreduction of CO2 in gas phase and the other on the design of new catalysts for refinery and petrochemistry sectors. Céline Pagis is also deeply involved in the French Chemical Society (SCF) and the association elles bougent.
As junior researcher (PhD since October 2018), Céline Pagis published and participated at : 13 articles in peer-reviewed journals, 9 patents (2 about zeolites, 2 about petrochemistry, 4 about photocatalysis), H-index = 7 , 382 citations, 2 invited talks at (inter)national conferences (EMRS-Symposium H - 2019, GdR Solar Fuels seminar - 2019).
