Following an engineering degree obtained from Chimie ParisTech (2008), I completed my research career with an academic thesis at the University of Toulouse (obtained in 2012), on the design and macromolecular engineering by controlled radical polymerization of surface-active copolymers and the study of their solubility in supercritical CO2 and behaviour at the interface of two-phase water/sc-CO2 systems.
I then joined IFP Energies Nouvelles in 2013 as a research engineer in the Catalysis, Biocatalysis and Separation department. My initial research activities in 2013-2014 explored the conversion of cellulose into platform molecules using heterogeneous and/or homogeneous catalysis. Since 2014, my work has focused on the development and characterization of innovative sulphide catalysts for the production of clean fuels and hydrotreatment processes for fossil (petrol, diesel) and alternative feedstocks (biomass, plastic pyrolysates). This industrial research has resulted in 35 patents to date and the marketing of several hydrotreatment catalysts.
Alongside my applied research projects, I am also involved in advanced research projects, supervising trainees and (post)doctoral students (2 doctoral students, 1 post-doctoral student, 4 trainees) and playing an active role in the French and international catalysis scientific community. Since June 2023, I have chaired the Groupe d'Etudes en CATalyse (GECAT, a thematic group of the Catalysis Division of the French Chemical Society), whose mission is to organize annual thematic meetings, federate the French-speaking catalysis community, promote exchanges between researchers and encourage the integration of young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers. I am also a member of the organizing committee for the symposium "Transitioning from refining to circular and sustainable chemistry: transition metal sulphide catalysts at the crossroads", which will be held at the International Catalysis Congress in Lyon (2024).
