Summary

Guillaume Vinay studied at ENSEIRB-MATMECA in Bordeaux before completing a PhD in Numerical Mechanics at Mines ParisTech. Graduating in 2005, he was awarded the thesis prize of the Groupe Français de Rhéologie in 2006. The same year, Guillaume joined IFPEN's Fluid Mechanics department as a research engineer, then became project manager in 2009. After being in charge of the ColdStart project on the transport of waxy crudes oil in pipelines until 2019, he is now in charge of the FoReCaSt project, which coordinates fundamental research on multiphysics modeling of two-phase flows within IFPEN. In 2019, Guillaume joins the Numerical Modeling of Energy Systems department, where he develops the activity of two-phase flow modeling for liquid cooling of electric motors.
