Ludovic Raynal graduated in 1993 from the “Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble”, France. After his PhD in Mechanical Engineering obtained from University of Grenoble, he spent one year as Research Associate at the University of California, San Diego. Ludovic joined IFP Energies nouvelles (IFPEN) in 1998, in the Process Development division. Since then, he has been working on the development of various processes for the Oil & Gas industry, first as Research Engineer and then as Project Manager.
Since 2015, Ludovic has been the Manager of the Group “Petrochemistry and Green Chemistry” in the Process Design Department of IFPEN.
Ludovic participated to several National and EU collaborative research programs, especially on CO2 capture. He had also been Project Manager of several projects in partnership with the Industry.
He is the author of about 35 scientific articles, among them 2 Top Cited Papers, and of more than 40 patents. He supervised numerous MSc, PhD theses and post-docs and had been referee of several PhD thesis in France and abroad.
