Summary

Stéphane Raux, graduated from the ESTACA engineering school and holder of a PhD in process engineering and advanced technologies from Sorbonne University-UPMC, works at IFP Energies nouvelles since 1997. After initial work on the impact of the formulation of diesel fuels on the formation of ultrafine particles and the links between formulation, size, composition and reactivity of particles, he devoted himself to exhaust gas after-treatment systems, mainly particulate filters and SCR systems for NOx abatement. Project manager between 2005 and 2022, Stéphane and his team have notably contributed to a better knowledge of thermal engine emissions and to the optimization of exhaust gas pollution control systems: catalysts, particulate filters, sensors and actuators. Since 2022, he has been head of the Energy Conversion and Emissions Department, which conducts research on fuel cells and hydrogen-fueled thermal engines, and on the treatment of emissions of the transport and industrial sectors.

He is the author of 7 patents, 22 Scopus publications including 10 WOS publications.
